           I have practiced over 24 years now, and have seen many natural health products boom and bust.

 

Despite all the fads and hype, there is the occasional treasure.  I would like to introduce a clinical pearl of great value.

 

         You may be aware that I have for over a decade recommended grapeseed extract as a core remedy in many of my cancer protocols. The oligomeric proanthocyanidins  - OPCs - are clinically very important for many reasons, which I have detailed in my books and lectures. 

 

I was first introduced to pycnogenol from pine bark as a source of the OPCs.  Dr. Allen Tyler, ND, MD learned of them from Professor Masquelier, and taught me they can protect and repair the delicate vascular endothelium of veins and arteries.  Later grapeseed extract proved to be a richer source of OPCs at a better price.  I have taken OPC capsules daily for over 16 years.

 

          I became aware of Global Health Source Canada (GHSC) several years ago through their R&D partner Omega Biotech.  They are based here in Victoria where I live and practice. They provided my dispensary with an excellent skin care product made with their really exceptional grapeseed extract Protvin™. Protovin™ is made from the skins and seeds of white grapes from a specific vineyard near Mt. St. Helens.  Testing of grapes from all over the world showed this vineyard, enriched by recent volcanic activity, produced a varietal yielding the maximum amount of OPCs.
